Sahar F. Aziz is Professor of Law and Chancellor’s Social Justice Scholar, Rutgers University–Newark. Her scholarship focuses on the intersection of national security and civil rights law with a focus on the post-9/11 era. She also writes on rule of law and democracy in Egypt including gender rights, transparency laws, and election laws. Professor Aziz has been featured on CNN, CSPAN, Russia Today and Al Jazeera America, and in numerous publications. She is also a founding member of the Egyptian American Rule of Law Association.
